October Mission Emphasis

Each month Arrow Heights emphasizes a specific mission opportunity or offering to our congregation. Check back each month to see our next emphasis!

Formerly known as DaySpring Villa, The Spring is Oklahoma’s only faith-based certified shelter for victims of abuse and trafficking and their children.  Through emergency crisis shelter, transitional living, and non-residential services for those outside our four walls, they offer hope and restoration to those whose lives have been impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and stalking. TOGETHER, WE CAN PROTECT THE VULNERABLE & STOP ABUSE

Give

The Spring relies on the financial generosity of individuals, corporations and ministries to help victims of abuse, human trafficking, and their children. Your donation can help victims find the safety and shelter they need to escape their abusers and begin their life of freedom.

Another way to contribute is to donate some of the below items to The Spring.  Items can be placed in the bins located by the Missions table in the foyer throughout the month of October.

Volunteer

The generosity of our volunteers to operate our shelter helps us decrease overhead and provide compassionate, quality care to the survivors in our shelter.  The Springs provides direct and indirect volunteer opportunities.

Indirect service volunteers actively support The Spring’s donation center, kitchen, and on-going projects and events.  Direct service volunteers engage one-on-one with guests at The Spring, though these opportunities require additional training provided by The Spring.  Volunteer opportunities available include: book club, job readiness, donations center, personal stylist, hair stylist, childcare, christian worship/service, crisis phone calls, cleaning shelter, room turnovers, pet shelter, community garden, ongoing project assistance, encouragement volunteer, kitchen volunteers, kitchen greeter, and kitchen cleaner.
