WHAT IS THE GOAL?

To equip the church under the guiding principles of Truth, Training, and Togetherness.
To provide a means of training adults corresponding with children and youth times.
To integrate men and women into cross-generational gospel relationships.

 WHAT IS CROSS+TRAINING?

Cross+Training is a regular Wednesday night training time each Fall and Spring semester for adults. Beginning at 6:30pm in the Worship Center, participants gather for song, prayer, and approximately 15 minutes of teaching. Pastors select a resource to teach through each semester based on the rotating emphases of Truth (studying God’s Word), Training (applying God’s Word), and Togetherness (living God’s Word).

Participants are encouraged to read specified portions of the resource throughout the week. After the opening 30 minutes, trainees break into designated gender-specific groups with facilitators for approximately an hour to discuss the material. Each semester, leaders are identified and trained. Group signups occur over a several-week period prior to the Cross+Training semester kick-off as resources are made available. Cross+Training is semester-based, beginning and ending on specified dates.

Cross+Training provides an opportunity for adults to participate in ongoing Biblical equipping. Cross+Training does not replace Sunday morning Small Groups but allows our church family to be trained outside of the normal Sunday morning setting for a longer period of time. Because of the multi-generational nature of Cross+Training groups, we hope relationships will develop that lead to individual discipling connections. This is one way we are investing in men and women uniquely in our church family.
